Is ROC SEO really free?
Yes. The page audit, the AI citation checker and site crawls up to 1,000 pages are free, with no account. Paid plans will add bigger crawls, saved projects and scheduled checks.
How does the AI citation checker work without an API key?
You ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot or Google your question as usual. ROC SEO reads the answer on your screen and tells you whether your site was cited, at which position, and who was cited instead. It never sends prompts to any AI.
Does the crawler slow down or get my site blocked?
No. It follows robots.txt, fetches one page at a time at 1 page per second by default, and slows down on its own if the server asks it to.
Can ROC SEO show backlinks and keyword volumes like Ahrefs or Semrush?
Not today. Those numbers come from huge private databases. ROC SEO focuses on what it can measure exactly: your pages, your site structure and whether AI answers cite you. Any estimate we add later will be clearly labelled as an estimate.
Is my data private?
Yes. Audits, crawls and citation checks run in your own browser and are stored there. ROC SEO has no tracking and does not sell data.
